How to change your mindset during a fat loss phase
If you have ever had a goal of losing body fat or have been on a journey to change the way your body looks then you will know that the process isn’t always plain sailing.
This week after speaking with a few clients about helping them to shift their mindset it has inspired me to write a post to help you all to do the same thing.
𝐌𝐲 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐚𝐬 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥.
The end goal will always be there, but you can’t reach it if you aren’t patient with or enjoying the journey that helps you to get there.
The way that you view the PROCESS will have an impact on the goal that you are wanting to reach.
𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐬:
❌ Restrictive
❌ Stressful
❌ A chore
❌ Are you ‘hunger focused’ ❔
These are all negative views. And by focusing on the things that you CAN’T do you will always allow the negative to impact the positive’s.
𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝, 𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠:
☑️ I’m eating to fuel my body, I need less calories right now but once I have worked on putting my body in a position to metabolise food better I can push them back up and still continue to progress.
☑️ I’m making an EFFORT to change, I’m forming positive habits to progress in the right direction and ultimately I will have a positive outcome.
☑️ Exercise is a privilege, I’m grateful that I can move my body to change the way that I look physically.
☑️ I’m not hungry, I’m bored. My energy levels are fine. It’s psychological so I will shift my focus to pre occupy my mind.
Do you see how a negative can easily be converted to a positive?
This is the same for the process, it may be tough but it always brings us around to a positive outcome. The fat loss that we desire.
If you don’t enjoy it or you make it hard for yourself then I can promise you that you won’t get there. You’ll fall flat at the hurdles and end up going round in circles chasing something that you could have had the first time around.
During your fat loss journey it’s important that you enjoy the process for the time that it takes, it’s not a quick fix…and if it is, it won’t be sustainable.
Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, but don’t talk yourself out of working hard to get there either. Find the balance, have patience, appreciate the journey and focus on the little wins that you have along the way.

☑️ Positive habits
☑️ Positive mindset
☑️ Positive process

Hope this helps ❤️ And if it does then re read it when Mr Negativity pops in to say hello. He will soon be on his merry way.
