Is your start point stopping you from getting started?

Let me ask in another way…….
𝐈𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐏𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝?
The reason I ask this is because when you have been coaching people for as long as I have you gain a certain level of experience that enables you to understand peoples thought process when it comes to wanting to lose weight.
𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥.
The reality is for ‘most’ people it will take months and quite often years to get to a point that they desire and it may surprise you to hear me say that but it is the harsh truth.
This is where so many peoples ‘quick fix’ mind set cripples their progress because they aren’t prepared to play the long game which in turn keeps them on that big merry go round.
Put simply……THEY KEEP QUITTING!!
SOUND FAMILIAR?
This brings be onto the inspiring lady you see in this post Amy Howell.
Amy started with us back in July 2018. She was incredible nervous, apprehensive and feeling overwhelmed by her start point.
Achieving her end goal at the time felt like a million miles away BUT It wasn’t a million miles away it was just under 3 years!
Amy achieved an incredible 𝟔 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐒 and 𝟏𝟓 𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐇 𝐖𝐀𝐈𝐒𝐓 𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 over the 3 years.
Let me ask you one more question?…
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝟑 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 ‘𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐟𝐢𝐱’ 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐥?
If yes then just think where you would be today if you had done it properly just like Amy.
It is important not to compare yourself to Amy as this was her own individual time frame.
Your own individual time frame depends very much on your start point right now!!
𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬…
If you are FINALLY going to achieve your weight loss goal and be in a position where you are fitter, leaner, confident and an all around more confident person, then I can’t stress enough the importance of having the following aspects in place:
- A clear and realistic goal with a time frame to match
- Structure and organisation as to when you will exercise (Don’t wing it)
- An exercise schedule that is specific to your fitness level, confidence and circumstances
- A nutrition strategy that is well balanced and sustainable.
- A strong support network who understand why you are doing it. (DON’T let people sabotage your dreams)
Most importantly:
“𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞”
Ultimately you need to be prepared to PLAY THE LONG GAME because if you aren’t then be prepared to to be overweight, unfit and unhealthy for the rest of your life.
